Another Week Of Food Porn

We had a mild week of food preparation this time around. Nothing super special. Just plain good, wholesome and delicious food. Super Bowl Sunday had marinated ribs on our plate. The still winter freeze had us cooking up turkey noodle soup (yes! we still have frozen turkey parts in our freezer dating back to Thanksgiving!) I’ve been adding Caesar salads almost daily, eventually eliminating those carb-loaded croutons. Two leftover, over-ripe bananas got turned into a sour creme banana bread (YUM!) Friday night was fish night (instead of pizza). I made a Mediterranean-tomato base with kalamata olives for fresh/frozen halibut (over rice) with a side of steamed broccoli topped with a lemon garlic vinaigrette. Hubby tried his hand at a Greek dish (marinated chicken pieces, over sautéed green peppers and onions) topped off with a yogurt based sauce and Naan bread. Delish! Lastly, one evening both DH and I were too tired to cook, so we prepared our fave pasta-to-go dish: peas & pasta. A sprinkle of Parmesan cheese and another successful dinner bit the dust!

It was a very good week. Food wise, that is.
